Monday 12th August - Crystal Cascades CP (Cairns)

Beautiful drive along the coast towards Cairns for our next stop.  Torquoise water and sea views out to our left for quite a few miles whilst heading south. Stopped at Wangetti Beach for morning tea which is 50kms south of Wonga Beach. The beach was really worth a stop to have a look at, with white sands and mountains that looked like they finished right on the waters edge. Today we only have about 90kms to travel to the next caravan park so a nice easy day. Set up the vans and then headed into Cairns for some lunch at Ganbaranba which is a fantastic Noodle Bar for some Ramen and Gyoza - yummy.  After lunch we went for a walk along the Esplanade and then had to try a very healthy ice cream from Gelocchio which advertises 100% healthy so there was no other choice but to have one...... Tomorrow Carol & I are going shopping, roll on DFO, and the guys are looking for a seafood market so we can have a "Seafood PigOut", fingers crossed.
