Saturday 17th August – Babinda Boulders Free Camp

This morning we went for a drive into Babinda and then on to Innisfail.  At Innisfail we managed to find a Saturday market in full swing in the gardens in the centre of town.  Lots of interesting stalls with fresh fruit & vegies from the region, couldn’t resist, had to buy a Pineapple as well as some avocados. We then went to Etty Beach where we have managed to get 2 sites next to each other for a week when we leave Bramston Beach.  The beach looks absolutely magnificent, AND YOU CAN SWIM THERE  ….yiiiippppeeee. Lunch today was at The Flying Fish Café at Innisfail where we all agreed that the meal was very, very nice.  Fish & Chips overlooking the sandy beaches, on a magnificent 27 degree day, couldn’t get too much better than that. Before we came back to Babinda Boulders we called into Kmart where Barry got a BARGAIN…….a Jarvis Walker Surf Rod for $25.  Barry now has 4 reels and 4 rods – he will soon be a “Commercial Fisherman” !!!!!!

My Lovely Shell Collection, looking good......
