Woke up at 7.00am this morning to the sounds of chain saws and heavy duty machinery cutting down a very large palm tree just up from us. Neighbours Stephen & Sharyn from Ocean Grove shifted their van last night in readiness for the "pruning". They leave today for Maroochydore so parked the van on the site opposite. Funny, when the loppers were ready to put the branches thru the "chipper" Steve had to move his van again otherwise it would have been covered in dust & grit. A really nice couple, and managed to have a lot of laughs as they shared happy hour with us for the last 3 nights. Really hope to keep in touch with them. Sharyn came shopping with Carol and I yesterday when we did our "Booteek" shopping in Bundaberg and we all managed to grab some bargains. Very Happy. Today and the last 3 days have been really windy, Wind, Wind and more F....ing Wind, I am so over it. Washed the sheets today and the fitted sheet ended up 10 metres from the line on the ground. Not pleasant on the beach, in the van or fishing for the boys. I hope we leave it behind when we travel down to Kingaroy tomorrow. Hope to free camp on a river near Kingaroy for the weekend and then I think Max & Carol will be leaving us - so sad.......
