Tuesday 10th September - Bedford Weir

Have decided to stay at Bedford Weir for 2 nights.  (Tues. & Wed. leave Thursday 12th) Great little free camp with ideal swimming, stayed here last year and the Caretakers have vegies and herbs growing that you can help yourself to, fantastic.  Barry and I have been down to the Weir 3 times now to cool off.  It is very hot at the moment and I am grateful to be able to go for a swim.  There was a lady up at the covered BBQ area tonight doing Karaoke, a little bit sad really, her singing left a lot to be desired.......!!!  Max & Barry have been fishing but unfortunately all that was caught was a "Turtle" by Max.  After removing the hook he was set back on his merry way.  Wandered down to the Weir to take some photos of the sunset, looked better than the pictures have portrayed.  There was a Pelican swimming off in the distance and there is heaps of birdlife around here, very pretty.
